Do paid plans really come with a 14-day free trial?
Yes. Every paid plan (River and Delta, monthly or annual) starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required up front, but we only charge once the trial ends — cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing.
How much do I save with annual billing?
Annual plans are priced at 20% off the equivalent monthly plan — you pay for roughly 9.6 months and get 12. The saving is surfaced on every plan card and compared live against monthly billing.
What are credits and what can I do with them?
Credits are the usage currency of Delta Hydro Studio. Each calculation uses a small number of credits depending on the tool (most tools are free or cheap; design flood estimations are the most credit-intensive).
What happens if I run out of credits?
You can top up with 100-credit packs from your account at $1 USD per 100 credits (or the local-currency equivalent). Subscription users also get their monthly allotment refreshed automatically.
Is there really a free tier?
Yes — the Stream plan is free forever, no card required. You get 200 starter credits on signup (lifetime, no monthly refill) plus ongoing free access to Channel Analysis, Culvert Designer, Detention Basin Designer, and Watershed Delineation.
How do team seats work?
On the Delta plan you set a seat count when creating the team. Every seat adds 1,000 credits per month, all pooled in a shared team credit pool. The team owner manages seats, top-ups, and billing.
Which currencies can I pay in?
USD, ZAR, EUR, GBP and AUD. We auto-detect your currency from your location and you can override it at checkout. Paddle acts as merchant of record, so local taxes are handled automatically.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated charges; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. Upgrading from monthly to annual takes effect immediately (prorated). Switching back to monthly happens at the end of your current annual period.
Do credits expire?
Top-up credits never expire. Monthly subscription credits carry over within the active billing period; they reset on renewal.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes — every paid plan is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If Studio isn't the right fit within 30 days of your first paid charge (i.e. once your free trial ends), email support and we'll refund that payment in full. The guarantee covers your first paid period only.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the current billing period and then drop to the free Stream tier. Your first paid charge is covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee — after that we don't prorate, but you can export everything at any time.
Do you offer discounts for beta testers or at launch?
Yes — we run periodic promo codes (e.g. 3 months free for beta testers, 50% off at launch). If you've been given a code, enter it at checkout in the Studio app to apply.
What payment methods do you accept?
We use Paddle as our payment processor — it handles cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and PayPal, and supports local currencies.
